We strive for a 2 week turn around, but in certain cases it may take a little longer to complete.

What is the thickness of natural stone slabs?
Standard thickness for kitchen countertops is 3cm (1 1/4") and for bathroom vanities and fireplace surrounds the most common thickness is 2cm (3/4").

No, you only pay for the material used in your project.

How do I care for my natural stone surfaces?
Stone surfaces are fairly easy to maintain and keep clean. Just use warm soapy water.

Will my countertops come sealed?
Yes, All About Granite will seal your countertops upon completion. This seal has a one year warranty. After that year you must reseal the surface.

Does granite stain?
In general, no. it is impervious to acidic substances and oils. Marble on the other hand will stain if in contact with acidic substances.

Can I place a hot pot directly on the surface?
Yes, because granite itself was formed under extreme heat and pressure, it is safe to put hot pots on it directly.

How are seams made?
Seams are done when two pieces meet. The seams are joined with epoxy and color matched to blend with the stones color. Most seams are not visible and are usually less than an 1/8th of an inch.

Does granite have pits and fissures?
Yes, since granite is a natural substance, pits and fissures are a natural part of the stones natural structure. These fissures are not cracks and will not compromise the stones strength.

Can granite be fixed?
Granite is so durable that it normally does not lend itself to damage. But, if it does chip we can fix it with ground chips of granite and epoxy.

How heavy is granite?
Granite weighs about 18 pounds per square foot. Any well constructed cabinet will be able to support the weight of the stone.

Do I need support brackets for a bar cap overhang?
We recommend using support brackets for any over hang that exceeds 6".
